OBS - GUI: Graphical User Interface |
OBS presents itself to the user through a PC-based user interface with "Windows-Look-and-Feel".
The following functions allow an efficient and agreeable operation of OBS
- Browse
With just one mouse click the user is presented with a drop-down list of all possible entry data, where selection can take place, which is automatically taken into the data entry screen
- Data entry symbols
Many data entry values can be recorded using pre-defined symbols. For example: a duration of three months can be recorded as 3M, an amount of five thousand as 5T
- Configuration
The user can, based on the user's standard menu and in accordance with the functional profile, create his own menu including auto-start functions. The Function-Keys, screen colours, window-size, column size, etc can all be individually defined
- Online help
Field-level help text can be implemented to support the user with the data capture and provide workflow and processing hints
- Input Symbolism
The data capture rate is significantly increased due to the usage of pre-defined defaults, function keys and data entry symbols
- Inclusion of graphics
In many OBS screens graphics are integrated by default and can be individually modified by the users
- Link to MS office products
Using the standard copy/paste functionality, data can be exported from OBS into MS Excel. Alternatively, it is also possible to import data from MS Excel into OBS
- Links to other applications
Using a standardised COM-Interface the OBS client can be integrated into any windows environment
